Boston during the 4th of July is one of the best places to celebrate the United State’s rich history – especially of the founding and revolution. History comes alive on this tour as we see important places and re-enactments up close. Once we have wrapped up our time in Boston, we will head to famous Cape Cod. We will spend time un Plymouth, Hyannis and Nantucket enjoying the beautiful weather of the Atlantic coast and exploring some of the most exclusive and beautiful areas in the US.

Day 1 – Sunday July 2nd (D)
Welcome to Boston Mass., First stop is our home for the next three nights, the Fairmont Copley Plaza… in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay, it puts the city at your doorstep. We will have dinner together at the Oak Long Bar and Kitchen in the hotel. Nearby you’ll find Fenway Park, The Museum of Fine Arts, Symphony Hall, and the elegant restaurants and boutique shops of Newbury Street.
Day 2 – Monday July 3rd (L, D)
We will be seeing parts some of the best of Boston history including highlights of the Freedom Trail, North End, Beacon Hill and Back Bay. Mini Walking Tours of major sites, including Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, key parts of the Freedom Trail and Copley Square. After having lunch at the Warren Tavern – Boston’s oldest with a great deal of history – and exploring the famed festival, Harbor Fest, we will return to the hotel for time to relax or do some more exploring on your own. Tonight we will have a great dinner at one of the top restaurants near the hotel.
Day 3 – Tuesday July 4th (Brunch)
This is the 4th of July – one of the best days to spend in Boston. We will start our day with a Boston harbor brunch cruise with an up-close look at the USS Constitution while it goes out for its yearly turnaround cruise. The USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat. Constructed in Boston in 1797, she was one of the United States Navy’s first men-of-war. The USS Constitution is scheduled to make its annual Fourth of July turnaround sail. The ship will leave Charlestown at 10 a.m. and sail through Boston Harbor before a gun salute at Castle Island and we will be right there to see it and enjoy the beautiful harbor sights. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free to enjoy the fireworks and celebration.
Day 4 – Wednesday July 5th (L, D)
We’ll say goodbye to Boston today and travel to “America’s Hometown”, Plymouth, Mass… we’ll have a walking tour of Plymouth by a local historian and will include Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II (a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World), Forefather’s Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the US. After finishing our tour, we will head to the Cape Cod Canal Visitor’s Center. Explore the rich history, fascinating features, and vigilant operation of the Cape Cod Canal. Next we’ll make our way to Hyannis and check into our hotel. Tonight we will have dinner one of the local restaurants.
Day 5 – Thursday July 6th (B, D)
Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we will board the ferry and head to Nantucket for the day. You will have most of the day to explore this beautiful cape island and it’s charming downtown area full of shops and restaurants. After seeing the sights Nantucket has to offer, we will head back to Hyannis and have a great dinner together. Please remember to bring comfortable walking shoes for this excursion!
Day 6 – Friday July 7th (B, D)
After finishing breakfast we will head to the John F. Kennedy Museum – the seas and shores of Hyannis Port inspired our 35th President like no other place on earth. Discover why he loved this place! Then we’ll stop at the Whydah Pirate Museum – It was a fully rigged galley ship that was built by the British. During one of its 1717 voyages, it was captured by the famed pirate, Samuel “Black Sam” Bellamy. Touch and see the world’s only authenticated pirate treasure. Both of these interactive and enjoyable experiences will round out our trip to Cape Cod and from there we will head back to Boston and stay near the airport for our morning departure. We will enjoy dinner together in the hotel for our final evening.
Day 7 – Saturday July 8th (B)
We will be headed home today full of great memories and ready for the next trip!
