2023 Calendar

Hi all below is a very rough outline of our 2023 Calendar… with all the things going on we still cannot guarantee all of our tours at this time… we hope 2023 starts to look “more normal” and we can get back to our regular travels.

Please note you cannot sign up for a tour until it is priced out and complete. Dates may change due to availability… thank you for your patience!

Sacramento, Reno & Lake Tahoe – February 7th – 11th, 2023 – Getting there is half the fun! From the lush Sacramento Valley, through the historic Mother Lode Country, to the top of the High Sierras… let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! This is one of America’s most spectacular rail rides! Fun In Sunny… San Diego – March 10th – 14th, 2023  With near perfect weather year-round, 70 miles of spectacular coastline, world-class attractions and a thriving urban core, complete with sophisticated art, dining and nightlife, San Diego has earned the name California’s beach city. Miami & the Keys – April 21-27, 2023 – South Beach… has been called the American Riviera and an Art Deco Playground. Everglades National Park… The largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The Key’s… The word Key comes from the Spanish word cayo, which means little island. The Florida Keys, therefore, means “little islands of Florida”, and it is with the Spanish that our brief history of the Florida Keys really begins. These little islands had been home to Caloosa Indians who lived here until the arrival of the history-making Spanish Ponce de Leon expedition. Washington Wine Tour – May 3rd – 6th, 2023 – One of the nations top wine regions has appeared amongst the rivers, lakes and mountains of Central Washington. Bordered by the towering Cascade Mountains on the west and sagebrush covered hills on the east, vineyards and their attendant wineries are rapidly appearing throughout the area. Victoria, Whistler & Vancouver BC – June 11th – 17th, 2023 Enjoy all the breathtaking beauty that this tour offers as we travel through coastal mountains & quaint seaside villages, and to world class cities blessed by magnificent nature. Time for Toronto –TBD a vibrant urban center made up of eclectic and lively neighborhoods. Few cities in the world bring so many diverse cultures, festivals, , and businesses together in a single place. Alaska – August 28th – September 4th, 2023 Traveling in Alaska is like traveling to no other place on Earth. There are 586,000 square miles here, and almost that many possibilities. You will be delighted when you spot a grizzly bear with a cub or two in tow, or that instant when the silence of a misty fjord is shattered by a pod of giant humpback whales, breaching high into the air, then crashing back against the sea. September – Colorado – This one is still in the concept stages it will be different than Trains in Colorado as I would like to explore Estes National Park, Red Rock Amphitheater & more!  

September – Bend & Sisters Snow-capped peaks adorn the high-desert skyline… make some of the best sights in Oregon. Filled with an endless variety of nature and manmade wonders, stop to admire waterfalls, examine the extreme conditions of the high desert, marvel at the volcanic lava fields, and relax in and enjoy the beauty that surrounds. Come discover what is around this Bend. We will also take in their October Festival… including Weiner Dog races, live music, scavenger hunts for kids and more!

September – Virginiathis is still in the concept stages some of the things I am thinking about doing is Marymount Mansion, Charlottesville, Monticello, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Norfolk & More!

October – Balloon Fiesta – We had to cancel this one in 2022 I know many of you were disappointed so we will try it again! For centuries, writers and artists have used their talents to portray New Mexico in ways that illustrate why this beautiful place is so special. Come with us for a taste of the Land of Enchantment…  Where you’ll view the spectacular sight of over 900 ascending hot air balloons.  Explore the rich history of Santa Fe and Taos. This exciting tour is loaded!

October – TBD

December – Cajun ChristmasNew Orleans… imagine balconies with elaborate ironwork throughout the Quarter strung up with wreaths, garlands, and lights… the Victorian & Colonial mansions adorned in holiday décor. Lafayette, LA is the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun & Creole Country where you can feel the pulse of the food, music, and culture that Louisiana is famous  for. This cultural oasis blends contemporary sophistication of a cosmopolitan city with a unique  heritage and culture hard to find anywhere this side of Europe.

December – Shore AcresExperience the beauty of winter landscapes, exciting attractions, and something unique. This is an ABSOLUTE MUST SEE!! It is an experience that will be sure to set the mood for the entire Christmas season.
