Pennsylvania Heritage Tour
September 9–16, 2026
Travel with OregonWest to the very places where American history unfolded. This immersive eight-day journey begins in Philadelphia, the birthplace of the nation. Stand inside Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed, see the Liberty Bell, and walk the same streets as Benjamin Franklin at Franklin Court. Explore the Betsy Ross House, historic Carpenters’ Hall, charming Elfreth’s Alley, and the National Constitution Center before visiting the fascinating Eastern State Penitentiary.
Leaving the city, we travel through the rolling countryside of Pennsylvania to Brandywine Battlefield, where a local interpreter brings Revolutionary War history to life. In Lancaster County, experience authentic Amish culture with a guided visit to an Amish farm and home, free time at Kitchen Kettle Village, and a scenic steam train ride aboard the Strasburg Rail Road. Enjoy a sweet day in Hershey with a trolley adventure, beautiful Hershey Gardens, and dinner at the elegant Hershey Hotel.
Our journey culminates in Gettysburg with an extensive guided battlefield experience before returning to Philadelphia for a powerful final visit to the Museum of the American Revolution. Carefully paced with comfortable accommodations and memorable dining, this tour blends iconic landmarks, meaningful storytelling, and the charm of Pennsylvania’s countryside into one unforgettable experience.
