Join OregonWest Excursions for a spectacular journey through the landscapes and small towns of the Pacific Northwest, where scenic drives, fascinating history, and memorable experiences come together in true OregonWest style. This relaxed-pace motorcoach tour blends iconic destinations with comfortable hotels, excellent dining, and plenty of time to enjoy each stop along the way.
We begin with a leisurely arrival in Walla Walla, staying at the elegant Marcus Whitman Hotel. After time to rest, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner before enjoying a relaxed evening stroll through the charming downtown district. The following day, we explore Walla Walla’s rich history and culture before traveling to Clarkston for a two-night stay along the Snake River. Here, we’ll experience one of the highlights of the tour — Beamer’s Hells Canyon Jet Boat adventure — offering dramatic scenery, wildlife sightings, and fascinating stories of the deepest river gorge in North America.
From Clarkston, we continue to historic Baker City for an overnight stay at the beautifully restored Geiser Grand Hotel, followed by a scenic journey through Eastern Oregon. We’ll stop at the vibrant Painted Hills and the renowned Thomas Condon Paleontology Center to learn about the region’s ancient past before settling in Bend for two relaxing nights at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes. While in Bend, we’ll visit the engaging High Desert Museum and enjoy a special evening of stargazing and discovery at Sun River Observatory — a truly unforgettable experience under Oregon’s clear night skies.
Our journey continues to breathtaking Crater Lake National Park, where we’ll take in sweeping views of the deep blue lake from scenic overlooks along the rim. We then travel to Grants Pass for our final overnight along the Rogue River before returning home with wonderful memories and new friendships.
With comfortable pacing, beautiful scenery, and thoughtfully planned experiences each day, this tour showcases the very best of Oregon, Washington, and the high desert region — all while traveling in the relaxed, friendly style our OregonWest guests love.
