Travel Notes

Flights

This tour includes round-trip airfare between Portland and Amsterdam. Final flight schedules will be confirmed closer to departure. Your OregonWest Tour Director will accompany the group and assist with airport procedures, international travel logistics, and transfers throughout the journey.

Weather

April is one of the most beautiful times to visit the Netherlands and Belgium. Expect daytime temperatures generally ranging from the mid-50s to upper-60s, with cool mornings and the possibility of occasional light rain showers. Layered clothing, a light rain jacket, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Walking

This tour includes daily walking through historic city centers, museums, gardens, and villages. Most walking is on paved surfaces, though Bruges includes cobblestone streets and some museums feature historic stairways. Guests should be comfortable walking approximately one to two miles throughout a typical day, often broken into shorter segments with frequent opportunities to rest.
