Day 1 – Sunday, February 1, 2026: Depart for Bozeman & West Yellowstone
Our winter adventure begins as we depart Oregon and fly into Bozeman, Montana. From there, we travel through stunning mountain landscapes to West Yellowstone, where we settle in for four nights at the cozy and centrally located Best Western Desert Inn. This evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner in the heart of town as we prepare for the extraordinary days ahead exploring Yellowstone’s snowy wonderland. (D)
Day 2 – Monday, February 2, 2026: Yellowstone Snow Bus
Bundle up for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as we board our private snow coach and journey deep into Yellowstone National Park. Today’s highlight is a visit to the iconic Old Faithful, where we’ll witness the geyser’s awe-inspiring eruption against a backdrop of winter stillness. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views, unique geothermal features, and possible glimpses of wildlife. Dinner tonight is in charming downtown West Yellowstone. (B, L, D)
Day 3 – Tuesday, February 3, 2026: Yellowstone Snow Bus Day 2!
We return to the park for another day aboard our snow coach, this time venturing into the breathtaking Canyonlands area. Marvel at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, its colorful rock walls made even more dramatic by snow and ice. This is a photographer’s dream and a naturalist’s delight. After a full day of winter scenery and exploration, we’ll gather for a hearty Montana dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 4 – Wednesday, February 4, 2026: Sleigh Rides, Ranch Dinner, and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
Today offers a balance of discovery and relaxation. We begin with a visit to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, where you’ll observe these magnificent animals in a naturalistic setting. After lunch in town, we make our way to the scenic Lone Mountain Ranch for a magical winter evening under the stars before returning to West Yellowstone for our final night. (B, L, D)
Day 5 – Thursday, February 5, 2026: Departure Day
After breakfast, we say goodbye to West Yellowstone and begin our journey home. Before heading to the airport, we’ll stop at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman—one of the country’s premier natural history museums. With hearts full and cameras loaded with memories, we return to Oregon with a newfound appreciation for Yellowstone’s quiet beauty in winter.
