Join us on an unforgettable holiday journey, where you’ll immerse yourself in artistry and festive delights. This OregonWest Excursion mixes Portland’s greatest Holiday Hits into three fun-filled days – and still leaves time for shopping! Enjoy the Oregon Ballet Theater production of the Nutcracker. Get in the holiday spirit with the Holiday Pops concert. Watch the parade of ships from the deck of the Portland Spirit dinner cruise. Have High Holiday Tea in the Heathman Library. Eat a fabulous holiday meal at Hubers Cafe. Steam through Portland on the Holiday Train. Pick up a locally produced gift or three at the Oregon Convention center during the Holiday Craft Fair. There is so much to see and do this Holiday Season in Portland!
Day 1 – Friday, December 12, 2025 – Holiday Tea, Pittock Mansion, and The Parade of Ships
Our journey begins as our full-sized motorcoach drives up the Willamette Valley picking up guests on the way to our first stop, the Heathman Hotel for their famous Holiday Tea in the library. Guests can freshen up before a short drive to Pittock Mansion to see the views, holiday decorations, and a glimpse into Portland’s proud history. Return to the Heathman hotel before heading to the waterfront to board the Portland Spirit for a dinner cruise along the Parade of Ships route. In the evening, return to the Heathman for a well-deserved rest. (High Tea, D)
Day 2 – Saturday, December 13, 2025 – The Nutcracker, Christmas Train, and Hubers
This morning, guests have free time to have breakfast at the Heathman Tavern at their leisure and then shop at the nearby shops or relax before meeting to drive to the matinee performance of the Nutcracker at the Keller Auditorium. Afterwards, venture to the Oregon Rail Heritage Center for a holiday-themed ride behind a 1912 Polson #2 steam engine. The festivities continue at dinner in the oldest restaurant in Portland, Hubers Cafe, for their famous holiday meals (or maybe a Spanish coffee for warmth). This evening, return to the hotel for another great night of sleep. (B, D)
Day 3 – Sunday, December 14, 2025 Your final day begins with breakfast at the hotel and then a short journey to the Oregon Convention Center for the Holiday Art and Craft Market to browse locally created wares direct from the artisans (and it is indoors!). The group will have lunch together before the afternoon performance of the Holiday Pops from the Oregon Symphony in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Full of Holiday Cheer, guests will then head back down the Willamette Valley ready to embrace the holidays! (B, L)
