What to Expect on this Tour:
Day 1 – California Adventure Kickoff
Step into Miami’s world of wonder as you arrive in this city pulsating with energy. The moment you disembark, a sense of anticipation envelops you, setting the stage for a remarkable journey. Immerse yourself in a realm where contemporary art flourishes and trendsetting culture thrives. Wander through streets awash in vivid murals and distinctive galleries, feeling the city’s rhythm beckoning you to explore its enchanting tapestry. This is your gateway to Miami’s unique ambiance, a prelude to the unforgettable days ahead.
Day 2 – Scenic Coast and Wine Tasting
Wake up to breakfast at the hotel, fueling your day for a mesmerizing drive along the famed 17 Mile Drive, offering glimpses of rugged cliffs and tranquil seascapes. Lunch at The Lodge in Pebble Beach serves up splendid ocean views. Return to Carmel for an afternoon wine tasting amidst the inviting streets of the fun downtown area. Tonight we will enjoy a dinner together as a group at a local restaurant.
Day 3 – Missions and Wine Country
Fuel your day with breakfast at the hotel before diving into history at the Carmel Mission Museum and Library. Lunchtime in Carmel provides an opportunity to savor local culinary gems. Set your course for Paso Robles, a land of vineyards and serenity, checking in at the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. Your evening unfolds with dinner at the Firestone Walker Brewing Company, a nod to Paso Robles’ brewing heritage.
Day 4 – Hearst Castle and Coastal Wonders
Savor breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a visit to the opulent Hearst Castle – an architectural masterpiece. Lunch by the sea at Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill is a coastal treat for the senses. Your journey continues with a visit to the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery, a spectacle of nature’s wonders. Return to the Allegretto Vineyard Resort before we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5 – Enjoy the Resort & Explore this afternoon!
Indulge in breakfast at the hotel, followed by a leisurely morning and early afternoon at the Allegretto Vineyard Resort, where tranquility and beauty envelop you. This afternoon we will head to the Sculpterra – a winery and sculpture garden for a tasting and time to explore and enjoy the art installations throughout the grounds. After enjoying some wine and art, the group will head to the Paso Robles Pioneer Museum and learn about the history of the people and industry that shaped the area in its early years. As the sun sets, savor dinner at Cool Hand Luke’s Steakhouse, a local gem that celebrates a past time in America’s history and serves up good eats!
Day 6 – Homeward Bound
Your final morning in Paso Robles starts with breakfast at the hotel, offering a moment to reflect on your journey. Midday brings departure for San Jose Airport, bidding adieu to the California coast and carrying cherished memories back home to Portland. .
