Great places to visit will include the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Evergreen Air Museum, Hatfield Marine Science Center, and Yaquina Pacific Railroad Museum.
Day One – Yachats, Winery and Great Food: Monday, February 17, 2025
The OregonWest Luxury Van will pick up guests in Tualatin, Woodburn, and Salem and travel to near Philomath for a fantastic rest stop on the way to the coast at a local winery. There, the group will have a chance to take in the surroundings, taste a flight of wine, and have a wonderful picnic lunch. Back on the road, the OregonWest luxury van will travel down Highway 101 to Yachats and check into the oceanfront Overleaf Lodge and Spa for two nights. Rain or shine, your views will be impressive. There will be time to enjoy the ocean from your room before dinner at a local restaurant. (L, D)
Day Two – Florence and Sights Along Highway 101: Tuesday, February 18, 2025
Today, after breakfast in the hotel, guests will head down Highway 101 to Florence with stops along the way. Many beautiful sights pepper the Central Oregon Coast between Yachats and Florence such as Thor’s Well, Cape Perpetua, Haceta Head Lighthouse, and multitudes of rock formations and cliffs. The stops will be arranged based on the weather on the day to ensure that guests are getting the best of the Oregon Coast (meaning sometimes we may choose to stay inside! But, February has some wonderful days as well). There will be free time in Florence to look at shops and then have lunch together as a group. On the way back north, stop at the Sea Lion Caves to catch a close up glimpse of these large wild animals resting on rocks. Back in Yachats, there will be some free time before dinner our on the town. (B, L, D)
Day Three – Seal Rock, Oregon Coast Aquarium, and Yaquina Head Lighthouse: Wednesday, February 19, 2025
After breakfast, the group will check out of the hotel and head north on Highway 101 with at least one stop in Seal Rock. Guests will have the chance to see Seal Rock beach and Elephant Rock, well established bird nesting sites, from a viewpoint. Also in Seal Rock is the well known ‘FUDGE’ sign – so a stop to taste their confections will be necessary. The next destination is the crown jewel of aquariums in the state, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, where guests will see creatures big and small up close. With a healthy appetite, a very short drive will bring the OregonWest Luxury Van to the South Beach Fish Market, a local institution that regularly has lines well out the door on weekends and in the summer. In the afternoon, visit the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and visitor center and then historic Nye Beach. Guests will then check in to the nearby oceanfront Hallmark Resort. This evening, the group will eat on the historic bayfront. (B, L, D)
Day Four – Hatfield Marine Science Center, Railroad Museum, and Seafood and Wine: Thursday, February 20, 2025
After a hearty breakfast, guests will have the chance to see the original science center in South Beach, the Hatfield Marine Science Center. After an informative visit, head up Yaquina Bay to Toledo for a visit to the Yaquina Pacific Railroad Historical Society to see a glimpse into the area’s past. In the early afternoon, enjoy a light lunch at Mo’s Annex and some free time on the Historic Bayfront before changing at the hotel for the one and only Newport Seafood and Wine Festival! Vendors come from all over the region to display their wares – there is so much to see, and taste. The group will have dinner together at the Festival before heading back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest. (B, L, D)

Day Five – Depoe Bay and Evergreen Air Museum: Friday, February 21, 2025
This morning the group will have their last meal at the coast before departing Newport for McMinnville. There will be a rest stop early in the trip in Depoe Bay to spend a bit of free time in the shops along Highway 101. Once on the road again, the group will head into McMinnville and have lunch at one of the newer institutions in town, the Mac Market. After lunch, the Evergreen Air Museum awaits to see the Spruce Goose, F-111 stealth, and so much more. Guests will return to their pickup/drop off locations in Salem, Woodburn, and Tualatin. (B, L)
