Day 1 – Monday July 12th – Home to Chelan
We’ll make our way through the beautiful Columbia River Gorge today with a few stops along the way including the City of Toppenish, where you’ll have some free time for lunch and to view their murals. They have over 70 outdoor, historical murals telling the stories of early development and the city’s rich history and cultural diversity. We’ll continue over rugged Stevens Pass before descending into the glacier-carved Chelan Wine Valley… as we approach the lower end of the valley admire massive Lake Chelan that is flanked by wooded hillsides and acres of rolling vineyards. Our home for the next two nights is beautiful Lakefront Hotel featuring beautiful lakefront views. You’ll have some time to rest up before a wonderful dinner at Tsillan Cellars on the shores of stunning Lake Chelan. Lakeside Lodge (D)

Day 2 Tuesday July 13th – Lady of the Lake – Lake Chelan
This morning we’ll enjoy a cruise on Lake Chelan… The Lady of the Lake II is the largest vessel in the fleet and can accommodate up to 285 passengers. She has a spacious deck for outdoor viewing and transports you in style. Along the way, the Captain provides light narration on the folklore and points of interest. Welcome to Stehekin… it is a breathtaking destination nestled deep in the heart of the North Cascades. You’ll have time to explore the landing area including the National Park Visitor Center. The valley is surrounded by peaks of the North Cascades. You’ll be dwarfed by trees over a hundred feet tall, experience one of the most peaceful places on earth. We’ll make our return trip to Chelan via The Lady of the Lake II… the scenic setting is relaxing and spectacular. Dinner tonight is served at Karma Vineyards featuring lovely lake views and great food. Lakeside Lodge (B, D)

Day 3 – Wednesday July 14th – Chelan to Leavenworth
Enjoy a Leisurely morning to soak up the views from your balcony or take a walk along the lake before we say goodbye to breathtaking Lake Chelan. Were off to the Cashmere County Museum & Pioneer Village… The Museum embraces a wonderful collection of Pioneer and Native American history. The village consists of 20 original structures brought in from the local area, mostly by explorer scouts. It showcases a carefully restored Great Northern Railway caboose and a one room schoolhouse, originally located in Brender Canyon. Lunch is served at the Milepost Brewery… the building was originally a Chevy Dealership and a helicopter repair shop before it became a brewery and restaurant. We’ll continue on to Leavenworth and our home for the next two nights the Bavarian Inn located in the heart of downtown. Your afternoon is free to explore or rest up. Tonight, we’ll head to the Ski Hill amphitheater for a Bavarian Village classic… The Sound of Music! As the sun falls behind the ridge, the moon rises over the valley and Maria descends the hillside singing, “The Hills are Alive”. Bavarian Inn (B, L, D)

Day 4 – Thursday July 15th – Leavenworth Local Touring
After a Bavarian Breakfast we’ll head to Red Tail Canyon Farm where we will climb aboard one of their horse-drawn wagons. A draft horse team will lead us through the forests and fields into Red-Tail Canyon. You will experience a working draft horse ranch and registered tree farm. We’ll hear about the history of the area, how the horses are used for logging and farming the ranch. Afterward we’ll indulge in a traditional BBQs here… we’ll be served amongst the towering pines in their mammoth outdoor log lodge. The setting adds to the mouthwatering food and savory smells with outdoor dining at its best! Your afternoon is free to explore Leavenworth on your own… You’ll find many wonderful shops, museums, bakeries and restaurants here. We’ll meet up early evening for a wonderful dinner at Visconti’s Ristorante Italian… featuring traditional Italian fare. Now were set for the Music Man… Seventy-six trombones, a shipoopi or two, and some trouble in River City are all featured in this hilarious Golden Age classic… all under the stars at the Fish Hatchery Amphitheater. Day 5 – Friday July 16th – Leavenworth to Home
We’ll say goodbye to Leavenworth this morning, but the fun isn’t over! First stop: Central Washington Agricultural Museum… Its park-like surroundings are home to multitudes of horse drawn and early mechanical farm machinery, farm equipment and homesteads. The agricultural museum is designed to display large farm equipment in informative exhibits and in some cases actual operational representations. We’ll indulge in a delicious catered lunch here before we head home with great memories of gorgeous Central Washington. (B, L)
